[Spooky Month: Hollow Sorrows]

This is gonna sound pretty controversial but I don't think that this cartoon merits such a ridiculously high score consistently. I love it, and Sr Pelo, I support his independence and maintaining the rights to Spooky Month and coming out with a new episode annually. I feel it isn't the same thing anymore.

It started out as a slapstick comedy that was utterly laced to the gills with every frame of the animation having like 3 jokes in it and it had Sr Pelo's humor. The show then progressed slowly slowly taking itself more seriously like basically every show that starts out being a joke. That's mainly what I don't like. Maybe it's not for me. Not saying that the old style was objectively better even if it was definitely something I vibed with more.

It'd be a crime to rate this lower than 4.5 because I've seen a LOT of shit on Newgrounds and this is actually top tier quality in terms of blood, sweat and tears. I really didn't like the writing, how slow the episode was paced and some of the voice acting. It isn't slow paced just because the show started with a super fast pace of joke delivery in episode 1, it's just slow paced generally and the plot felt stretched. Maybe the production quality got raised but I don't think everyone else was looking forward to this level of complexity. Doesn't mean that because it has really smooth animation, audio quality and now it has an overarching plot that it means it's better. Could have had the same quality of slapstick comedy of screaming and split second jokes and people would still love it.

Yes I know this is a free video yada yada but that doesn't make it immune to critique. You don't want to be in an echo chamber of positive affirmation, trust me. Also, me critiquing the show isn't me necessarily saying I dislike it. I've been a fan for a while. If we all only throw praise and adoration to the things that we love without pointing out flaws and places where things can be improved, we're creating a circle jerk and we stagnate.

Also, big ups for getting Johnny Utah to voice the tankmen :)

Funny timing you got with your videos my friend. I only recently got with this girl and lost my virginity. It was my second date I've ever been on and I couldn't recognize myself anymore because I was abnormally confident and charming (this wasn't my character) on the date. By the end of it just like you, I changed for the better. Those changes stuck. I'm confident, charming and have significantly less social anxiety. But most of all, I hold myself to a higher regard (not to a point where I'm a selfish asshole and thinking I'm god's gift).

Still following your stuff, still rewatching this series from time to time. Love the new season that has positive vibes. Keep the frequency up and don't ghost us like Civetta :)

I've been following your animations for some time now ever since you released C.R.A.M. I'm amazed you've gotten no exposure and your stuff on both Newgrounds and Youtube haven't blown up. 200 something views for the visualiser video? Wow

You're really underrated and way too talented to be underground. This is the most stark example of talent not meeting opportunity. Of all the things that gain so much attention, your content should be on top.
