This is awesome but @Yudorchi, is this really worth 4 stars because of the colour not being your taste? Good stuff man I love the setting a lot, the movement the characters have, your line work. Everything!

A whole lot of sending emails back and forth.

Basically he'd send foreground art, I'd work on background art a layer over it. Another artist John Kantz would do tones as well as other background art.

[Gorillaz - Plastic Beach - fanart]

Takes me back to a decade ago when the album dropped. I found the Gorillaz when playing the fifa 11 demo on the xbox 360 waaaay back when I was 10 and I was looking for them all these years. In case you didn't know, rhinestone eyes is the song that's in fifa 11 and it was my favorite song for years after that all the way through middle school. I used to be a big fan as a kid and always wished they'd come back after they broke off around the same time this album came out. Honestly, plastic beach was some of their best work. Wonder if anyone ever remembers that point n click adventure game they had on their site or if it's just me :p. Or the competition for their evangelist character concept art that never came into fruition and never appeared even after 2 albums. Guess everyone forgot the evangelist (rip fishbowl head).

By the time they came back with the Humanz album I got into other music through high school and it wasn't my taste anymore. Also their music in both these 2 albums (Humanz & now now) doesn't compare to their indie, unique, niche style they had before. I was sad that the hype for their new music didn't live up to expectations but then again these days what does?

For nostalgia reasons I'm writing this review. I tend to rant when I get my nostalgia triggered and feel like pouring my heart into a comment... so apologies for this. You could have made fanart of any album or piece from the gorillaz but you chose my favorite one that was the closest one to me. It's refreshing to see good stuff like this on newgrounds. This is one of the reasons I keep coming back to this site.

[Daarz The Mystical Magical Elephant Man]

This is a masterful engraving of an elephant man. The elephant man is prostrating. This artwork relates to the elephant man's rise as a magician in 125 (Dwarf Fortress reference, I know it's obscure but cut me some slack :p)

this isn't really my thing, whenever i come over to the art section i expect to look at some drawings/paintings/photoshop pieces and i always detest pictures but not this time.

i absolutely love this mug, the skill and craftsmanship is showing from this, it;s like you're hiding your power level and you can do better. the way the eyes and mouth wrinkle the skin around them and the cracks are my favorite thing here. i also like the octopus handle.

So dang kind man... I try to take the best photos of my work possible. This website is full of loli's and intricate illustrations, so it's hard to stick out. The mugs have become a huge passion, and I've only been working with this clay for 5 weeks ish. I will improve, hope you come along for the ride! Thanks again!

love it so god damn much cause of the style. you can make some seriously cool emblems and i think you should give that a real shot (atleast think about it if you're not keen on this suggestion)

Thanks! making emblems sounds cool, it's fun to try drawing something to fit into a shape like a circle or square. I'll give it a shot!
